About the Principal

STEPHEN BERRIMAN

Stephen has a diverse & extensive management, legal & advisory background.

His many years in government and public and private corporate roles have influenced his very pragmatic, targeted and commercially empathetic application of the law and his advisory style.

​

For over 10 years until January 2008, Stephen was a partner and director with Fisher Cartwright Berriman (now FCB Law) and its affiliates.  During that time, Stephen worked with many large corporations and numerous SMEs in projects, activities and advisory services in a wide range of management challenges.

​

Prior to forming Fisher Cartwright Berriman in 1997, Stephen held various management roles with National Rail Corporation Limited, Chamber of Manufactures of NSW (now Australian Business), Incitec Ltd (then part of ICI group) and the NSW Police Service.

​

In January 2008, Stephen accepted the opportunity to join a client and its related companies on a full time basis to manage the integration of 3 acquisitions, achieved within a relatively short timeframe, and to lead the corporate services of the integrated group.

​

In 2011, Stephen recommenced his own advisory practice.

​

Berriman Law & Advisory is the culmination of Stephen’s experiences across these multidisciplinary roles.  Stephen has a Bachelor of Economic degree, MBA (AGSM, University of NSW) and DipLaw (Legal Profession Admission Board) and is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
